Owusu Bempah’s Church Mocks Rev. Kusi Boateng

Members of the Glorious Word Power Ministry International and their founder, Apostle Dr. Isaac Owusu Bempah, are having a good laugh over the ongoing expose against Rev. Prophet Victor Kusi Boateng, the secretary to the Board of Trustees of the National Cathedral project.

Apparently, the two men of God are reportedly not on good terms on the quiet, supposedly over which one of them has the right to be President Akufo-Addo’s spiritual prophet.

Because of the bad blood between them, the current dossier on Prophet Kusi Boateng, the general overseer of the Power Chapel Worldwide, with claims of double names, dates of birth, Taxpayer Identity Numbers (TINs) and driver’s license, seems to have given Rev. Owusu Bempah’s church the opportunity to throw shades at him. as he reels under public fire.

According to the Glorious Word Power Ministry International, their founder and head pastor, Owusu Bempah, has no stained reputation, in what seems to be an indirect jab at the embattled Kusi Boateng.

“Because the prophet here has no blemish, he has one name, he has no two names, all that we know is Prophet Owusu Bempah. You won’t see any other name belonging to him. You will never see any other passport of his with another name said to be his,” a pastor with the church told the congregation last Sunday.

This follows allegations levelled against the preacher by the Member of Parliament (MP) for the North Tongu constituency, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, who claimed his findings have revealed that the man of God is also called Kwabena Adu Gyamfi, which he uses as one of his official names.

The MP also raised a conflict of interest situation, saying that Rev. Kusi Boateng, uses the two names as and when he needs them, adding that a company linked to him was paid staggering GH₵2.6million under what some say were questionable circumstances.

The lawmaker is, therefore, demanding the immediate resignation of Rev. Kusi Boateng from the Board of the National Cathedral, and also his immediate prosecution.

Already, the claims by the MP have been presented to the Commission on Human Right and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) to investigate.

But at a packed service on Sunday, January 22, the church, in a rather interesting move, threw a direct jab at the embattled man of God, for having a double identity, as disclosed by the MP.

At the service, Accra-based Peace FM’s Kwame Amoo, who is said to be a junior pastor in the church, while introducing Rev. Owusu Bempah, said their leader is without any blemish, indirectly throwing shade at the prophet (Kusi Boateng).

But the broadcaster said Reverend Owusu Bempah, who until a while ago, was described as President Akufo-Addo’s prophet, has no “double name, double passport or double driver’s license.”

Without mentioning any name specifically, Kwame Amoo said it was even impossible for the leader and founder of the Glorious Word Power Ministry International to have a multiple identity, for whatever reason.

He said that their prophet bears only one name for his passport and driver’s license, among other official documents.

“Because the prophet here has no blemish, he has one name, he has no two names, all that we know is Prophet Owusu Bempah.

“You won’t see any other name belonging to him. You will never see any other passport of his with another name said to be his.

“You won’t see his driver’s license with another name. His name is Apostle Dr. Isaac Owusu Bempah. When it comes to prophecy, he is like the ocean,” the Akan news presenter said in a short 44 seconds’ video, sighted by The Anchor.

Interestingly, the casting of aspersion was supported by the entire congregation, who received it with standing ovation and applauds.

Also present at the church was the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Assin Central constituency, Kennedy Ohene Agyepong, who joined in the laughter.

The MP, who has declared his intention to contest the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer race, later donated some GHc50,000 to the church, while introducing himself as one of the presidential hopefuls of the governing party.

His gesture is similar to one performed by the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who visited the church on Christmas Day, December 25, 2022.

Dr. Bawumia, who is a Muslim by faith, also donated GHc50,000 to support the church’s activities.

In a related development, Rev. Kusi-Boateng, addressing his congregants on the same Sunday, said he is not perturbed about the allegation of corruption levelled against him and assured them that he will sail through unscathed.

“How can I go up without fighting the demons in the air? And so, stop all these fights and all these arguments. The question is that, is your father okay? I’m 100 per cent okay. The question is that, is your father happy? I’m super happy. The question is that, is your father going to go through this? I promise you that I will go through this honourably.”

A video of the sermon, a copy in the possession of this paper, also shows Rev. Boateng admonishing his followers to desist from engaging in unnecessary arguments on social media over the allegation levelled against him.

Meanwhile, The Anchor is learning that Apostle Owusu Bempeh and his church did not just mock Reverend Kusi Boateng for the sake of it.

This paper’s sources have disclosed that the two men of God have been at loggerheads for some time now.

Their fight stems from alleged schemes by the embattled Secretary to the Board of Trustees of the National Cathedral to replace Apostle Owusu Bempah as the President’s prophet.

This paper gathered that the two gentlemen have been at each other’s throat on the quiet.

But it appears the Kusi Boateng has succeeded, as Owusu Bempah is now known to have fallen out with the President. He is on record to have said in his last outburst a while ago that President Akufo-Addo is now without the favour of God.

The arrest of Apostle Owusu Bempah and others by the police has also been linked to the general overseer of the Power Chapel Worldwide, a claim this paper is yet to independently verify.
