World Lottery Officials In Ghana For NLA’s 60th Anniversary

The National Lottery Authority (NLA) has received the World Lottery Association president, Madam Rebecca Paul, an American, and General Secretary, Lynne Roiter, a Canadian, who are in the country for the first time to grace the 60th anniversary celebration of the NLA.

Madam Paul has also been instrumental in leading many reforms and championing ‘Good Causes’ across the various Lottery bodies.

She is the first woman to be elected for the coveted position of President of the World Lottery Association, who has also been re-elected for a second two years term.

Rebecca was re-elected WLA Boss in Vancouver in October,, this year, for another term.

Together with the experienced general secretary, Mad. Lynne Roiter, and other top executives of the World Lottery body, she will be participating in the Seminar on Responsible Gaming, being organized by the African Lotteries Association (ALA) and hosted by the NLA.

The event itself will bring together about 15 African countries, directors-general and several experts in the lottery industry across the globe.

The Responsible Gaming Seminar is a major event on the ALA Calendar and will be graced by the president of the World Lottery Association.

The African Lotteries president, Mr. Dramane Coulibaly, from the Ivory Coast, and Younnes El- Mechrafi, the general secretary of ALA, and also Vice President of the WLA, will also be present.

The entire delegation will be joined by Ministers of State, CEOs, MPs, and representatives of political parties for a grand durbar of the NLA.

The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, is expected to grace the Grand Durbar as a Special Guest of Honour on Friday, December 9, 2022 at 4pm at the NLA Head Office in Accra.
