Hopeson Adorye Fired From National Security

A firm believer of the ‘Alan for President’ campaign, Hopeson Adorye, has officially been ousted from government.

The 2020 failed parliamentary aspirant for Kpone-Katamanso on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) was fired from his job at the National Security Ministry, where he has been since 2017.

He appears to have incurred the wrath of people who are not happy with his open campaign to get the Trade and Industry minister elected as the NPP’s next flagbearer.

Interestingly, Mr. Adorye, who seems pained by his removal, took to social media to announce his exit, but insists ‘Nyame Nti Y3b3 Didi,’ to wit “God will provide our daily bread.”

In a Facebook post sighted by The Anchor, he wrote, “Monday 28th November 2022 around 2 pm, I handed over to my HR at the National Security and sworn out of office. Thank you all. “Nyame nti y3b3 didi.”

Mr. Adorye, who was previously the Deputy National Security Coordinator in Charge of Airports, added that he had also been sworn out of office.
He had previously announced on live radio last week that he had been fired from his government job.
His open support for Mr. Alan Kyeremanten automatically means that he will campaign against the vice president, Dr. Mahammudu Bawumia, a sure contender of the Trade minister.

According to Mr. Adorye, who is known to have played very important roles in the NPP both in opposition and government, he has officially left the secretariat of the ministry.

The husband of gospel songstress Empress Gifty announced his booting from office in a social media post that officially he has handed over his duties at the secretariat.
He said during a discussion on Oman FM’s ‘Boiling Point’ programme, on which he is a regular guest, that he had been fired purposefully because of his support for Alan Kyeremanten.

“God will cater for us, we will eat, Uncle (referring to the show host), God has got us.

“How we toiled in opposition for Akufo-Addo to come to power, we will do same for Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten to come.

“I’m not a zombie, Uncle, I was told that my support is not towards a particular camp so I should be dismissed, I have been dismissed.

“Your appointment has been terminated with immediate effect. That is why I am stressing that God will cater for us, we will never die,” he stressed.

Speaking about the reason for his dismissal also on Onua FM, Mr. Adorye said that he lost his job mainly because of his staunch support for Alan Kyeremanten.

He reiterated, “God will cater for us, we will eat, uncle (referring to the show host), God has got us. As we toiled in opposition for Akufo-Addo to come to power, we will do the same for Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen to come,” he said.

Meanwhile, his wife has reacted to the news. The gospel musician shared a lovely video of herself and her husband and captioned it, “Nyame nti y3b3 didi,” which means “God will provide our daily bread.”
