Napo Wishes Manhyia South BECE Candidates Well

Dr. Mattew Opoku Prempeh, the Member of Parliament for Manhyia South, in the Ashanti Region, has sent well wishes to all Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates in the area.

This year’s examination starts today.

The former Minister of Education, who is currently the Minister of Energy, in a message yesterday,  said: “Kindly go all out and make Manhyia South proud in the exercise that will usher you into your second cycle education.’’

He said: “Don’t be apprehensive, take it easy, read every instruction well and answer various questions to the best of your ability.’’

Dr. Prempeh said that, as the MP for the area, he was expecting sterling performances by the candidates, adding “This year’s results should surpass that of last year.’’

“As your MP, I am prepared to support you at the next level, and so, as students, kindly play your part by passing the BECE well,’’ he said.

He cautioned against cheating, saying that the act is a crime that could jeopardize the future of the young ones.

“Cheating in examination is criminal offence and can easily destroy your future, and so don’t try anything like that during the period of the examination,’’ he said.

He said: “’I wish all of you well, go all out and make your parents, Manhyia South, Asanteman and Ghana proud, and remember that we are ever prepared to support your education to the desired levels.’’
