Deloitte Ghana to collaborate with government to address socio-economic problems

Auditing firm, Deloitte Ghana, has reaffirmed its commitment to collaborate with government to find solutions to the country’s socio-economic problems.

According to its Country Managing Partner, Daniel Kwadwo Owusu, engaging with governments, clients and diverse stakeholders in their local communities is key to the success of the country.

Mr Owusu said solving persistent and complex social challenges such as lack of access to education, increasing number of refugees around the world, and maintaining a clean and safe environment, requires innovative thinking and new forms of collaboration across sectors.

Speaking to Joy Business at a dinner as part of the firm’s 75th anniversary celebration, the Country Managing Partner of Deloitte Ghana explained that the firm’s aim is to reach out to the ordinary Ghanaian and aid in solving their problems.

He maintained that his outfit will engage various stakeholders in the economy and collaborate with the government to solve societal problems.

“We will live beyond profit making, but will work with everybody to ensure that we support various communities in Ghana”, he pointed out.

Meanwhile, Chief Executive Officer of Deloitte West Africa, Fatai Folarin, has indicated that, effective collaboration across all sectors of the economy can achieve sustainable development.

“We won’t disappoint anybody, but we will work to ensure that we support the growth of all sectors”, he alluded.

The accounting and auditing firm, Deloitte Ghana, marked its 75th-anniversary celebration with a colourful ceremony.

Indeed, it’s an enduring story that began in 1947 with James Donald Barnes, CA Scotland. He was a Chartered Accountant with an incentive to build something that would last.
