Together we shall work to sustain the political power – Bawumia tells new executives

Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has said congratulated all the newly-elected and returning National Officers of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

He says he looks forward to working with all of them.

“To the other candidates who didn’t make it, I say to you, well done and better luck next time.

“Together we shall grow our Party and work to sustain the political power,” Dr Bawumia wrote on Facebook.

The new General Secretary of the NPP Justin Frimpong Kodua (JFK) has also appealed to losing candidates in the just-ended national delegate conference of the party to come together.

Like the five fingers of the human hand, he said, the new team can best function when every comes onboard to work together.

“I therefore, entreat all and sundry to put on their boots and reach out to the nooks and crannies of the country in our bid to recapture lost parliamentary seats and secure another victory in 2024.

“I salute all contestants for their bravery and tenacity. Indeed, the journey across the country was no easy task. More importantly, there are no losers and winners in the dictionary of the NPP as we remain the offsprings of a single womb.

“Let us, therefore, put aside the little differences that arose during the campaign and electioneering period, work together and make history in 2024,” he said in a statement.

JFK polled 2,837 of the total valid votes cast to beat the incumbent John Boadu, who polled 2,524 votes.
